Tigre Waterfall
In 1985, the Rodriguez family, primarily engaged in agriculture and livestock on these lands, faced a grave predicament. A formidable Jaguar had been preying on their cows and horses, leaving behind half-consumed carcasses and striking terror with each new attack. In just two months, this relentless predator claimed the lives of 30 cows and 4 horses on Don Aurelio’s property and neighboring farms. Despite the efforts of more than 25 people on several hunting expeditions, the Jaguar continued to elude capture.
Then, one fateful day, Don Aurelio and three companions set out into the forest with their trusty dogs and weapons, embarking on a relentless pursuit of ‘El Tigre.’ After an hour-long chase, they succeeded in bringing down the elusive predator. It is this triumphant event that inspired the name ‘El Tigre Waterfalls.’
